SAEDNEWS: Pakistan’s Prime Minister said: The Iranian nation, under the leadership of prudent and wise leaders, will pass the challenges ahead with victory.
According to SAEDNEWS, on Monday evening, January 19, 2026, Masoud Pezeshkian held a phone conversation with Shehbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, regarding regional and international developments, recent events in Iran, and the latest status of relations and cooperation between the two countries.
During the call, the President, while expressing appreciation for Pakistan’s consistent support for what he described as the rightful positions of the Islamic Republic of Iran, reviewed the recent events in Iran and pointed to the involvement and backing of the United States and the Israeli regime, saying:
From the beginning of taking office, all of our efforts have focused on creating convergence, solidarity, and unity among all groups, parties, ethnicities, and religious communities within the country, and on strengthening cooperation, friendship, and brotherly bonds, as well as developing relations at the highest level with neighboring and Islamic countries. Alongside these efforts, however, we have witnessed hostility, sabotage, and increased pressure by the United States and the Israeli regime aimed at disrupting this path.
Pezeshkian continued by describing what happened in recent days as a continuation of the failed efforts of the United States and the Israeli regime during the “12-day war” against Iran and its people, and added:
The historic and multi-million presence of the Iranian people in condemning the trained and puppet rioters once again defeated the conspiracies and plots of the enemies of our country. Today, the Islamic Republic of Iran continues its proud path stronger and more resilient than ever, and the expansion and strengthening of relations with Islamic and neighboring countries is being pursued more seriously.

The President also praised Pakistan’s efforts toward reducing tensions and promoting peace and stability in the region, emphasizing:
We are confident that the effective presence and role of you, our brothers in faith in Pakistan, along with other Muslim brothers—from Iraq and Qatar to Turkey and Saudi Arabia—will neutralize the efforts of the enemies of the Islamic Ummah who seek to threaten and disrupt regional security.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in response during the phone call, expressed the solidarity of the Pakistani government and people with the government and people of Iran, stating:
We have been closely monitoring the recent developments in Iran, because the Islamic Republic of Iran is not only our neighbor, but also an important and influential country in the region and the world, and therefore holds exceptional importance for us.
The Pakistani Prime Minister added that Pakistan, as always, stands alongside its friendly and brotherly country, and is fully prepared to play a role in reducing tensions and helping resolve regional issues. He said:
We are confident that the great Iranian nation, with firm determination and under the leadership and management of its wise and prudent leaders, will overcome the challenges ahead with victory and dignity.
