SAEDNEWS: Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and his Indian counterpart Subrahmanyam Jaishankar held a telephone conversation to exchange views on bilateral relations as well as regional and international developments.
According to SAEDNEWS, During the telephone call on Wednesday evening, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, India’s top diplomat, discussed a range of bilateral, regional, and international issues.
Referring to recent developments inside Iran, Araghchi said that peaceful protests in the country were diverted by foreign-trained terrorist elements, stressing the determination and unity of the Iranian nation in confronting any attempts at sedition or destabilization.
The Iranian foreign minister also strongly condemned the interventionist and provocative positions taken by US officials regarding Iran’s internal affairs.
For his part, India’s foreign minister emphasized the importance of expanding relations between Iran and India, underlining the need to maintain stability and prevent an escalation of tensions in the region. He also expressed New Delhi’s readiness to cooperate and assist in efforts aimed at preserving regional stability.
