SAEDNEWS: Israeli forces on Monday launched major raids in Jenin city and the surrounding refugee camp, extending a 315-day military campaign marked by home demolitions, displacement and heavy damage to civilian infrastructure.

Israeli Forces Raid Jenin, Over 700 Homes Damaged

The Israeli regime has intensified its push into residential areas, using bulldozers and armored units to force residents from neighborhoods including Cabiriyyat and the outskirts of the Jenin refugee camp.

Local authorities reported that 24 more homes were destroyed inside the camp, bringing the total of partially or fully damaged structures to over 700 since the assault began. Across the city, dozens of additional houses were razed or heavily damaged, displacing thousands and deepening an already severe humanitarian crisis.

In the village of Sile ed-Zuhr, families received demolition notices, raising fears of further mass expulsions. Military operations also escalated in nearby towns.

In Qibatiya, a young man was detained, and civilians were questioned by infantry forces. The town of Ya’bed, under siege for nearly a month, has seen private homes converted into army outposts. In Bir el-Basha and Sile el-Harithiyye, troops conducted home searches supported by tear gas and stun grenades, with residents reporting asphyxiation and psychological trauma.

“The assault on Jenin is part of a broader strategy to fragment the region and isolate it from the rest of the West Bank,” local officials said.

Since the offensive began 316 days ago, 69 Palestinians have been killed in Jenin and surrounding villages, including four shot by Palestinian Authority security forces during internal clashes.

“This operation targets the very fabric of life in the refugee camp,” a community leader said. “It is designed to make it impossible for families to remain on their land.”

Community leaders warn that the campaign increasingly resembles deliberate, slow-motion displacement, aimed at rendering the refugee camp uninhabitable. Palestinian civil society groups denounced what they call “a perilous global silence,” arguing that a lack of accountability has emboldened Israel’s escalating raids.

“Israel’s aggression has only intensified under international impunity,” one activist said. “The absence of response is a green light for more destruction.”

Meanwhile, families left homeless by repeated demolitions are appealing for immediate aid and international protection, many now sheltering in overcrowded or unsafe conditions.

As Israeli raids continue without pause, Jenin remains one of the West Bank’s longest and most damaging flashpoints in recent years, highlighting the scale and severity of the ongoing offensive.
