SAEDNEWS: Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov accused Western powers of blatantly ignoring UN resolutions on Palestine, shielding Israel’s occupation, and undermining international law.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, speaking at a Moscow roundtable with foreign ambassadors, accused the West of trampling UN Charter principles, including Article 25, and ignoring resolutions on Palestinian statehood. He condemned Washington and its allies for turning a blind eye to Israel’s ongoing aggression, exposing Western claims on international law as hollow when it comes to Palestine.
Lavrov also defended Russia against accusations of targeting civilians in Ukraine, dismissing UN Secretary-General Guterres’ statements as support for Kiev-backed “fakes” and promised to provide video evidence to foreign envoys. He further charged EU and NATO leaders with deliberately obstructing peace in Ukraine, stressing that security guarantees for Ukraine must adhere to the West’s obligations under the UN Charter and OSCE agreements.
