SAEDNEWS: Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim on Saturday condemned Israel's attacks on six countries.
Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has strongly condemned Israel for carrying out attacks on six countries in just a matter of weeks, calling the actions “inhumane insolence.” His remarks came during the closing of the National Gathering of Religious Agencies of Malaysia (IJPAM) 2025, according to state-run Bernama.
Since Monday, Israel has reportedly targeted several nations, including Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, Qatar, and Tunisia. Among the attacks, a residential compound in Doha housing Hamas leaders was struck, killing five Hamas members and a Qatari security official. They were reportedly discussing a US-proposed deal to end the war in Gaza, where more than 64,000 people have been killed since October 2023. Qatar, alongside the US and Egypt, has acted as a mediator in the peace negotiations.
Anwar’s count of six countries also includes Tunisia, where a drone attack reportedly struck the Global Sumud Flotilla. Tunisia’s Interior Ministry has launched investigations to determine the responsible parties and any collusion behind the attack.
The Malaysian Prime Minister announced he will attend the Arab-Islamic extraordinary summit in Doha on Monday, signaling Malaysia’s support for Palestine and condemning Israel’s “violence and inhumane insolence.” This summit will be the third joint Arab-Islamic meeting since Israel began its war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, focusing on Israel’s attacks in Gaza and the West Bank, its occupation policies, and the recent strike targeting Hamas leadership in Doha.
