SAEDNEWS: The Iranian Foreign Ministry condemned the “baseless and irresponsible” allegations raised against Tehran in a statement issued by the members of the G7 Rapid Response Mechanism (RRM) and its associate members.

Iran Pushes Back: Strong Rebuttal to G7 Statement

Iran’s Foreign Ministry has vehemently rejected recent G7 allegations, describing them as unfounded and a deliberate attempt to deflect attention from the sponsors’ own destabilizing actions.

In a statement released on Sunday, the Ministry accused the G7 of distorting facts by targeting those responsible for safeguarding Iran’s national security. “Levelling false charges against those who protect Iran’s sovereignty amounts to a blatant distortion of facts,” it said.

The statement described the G7’s approach as hypocritical, pointing out that the same countries—particularly the United States, the UK, Germany, and France—have contributed to lawlessness and insecurity in West Asia through illegal and destabilizing actions. Iran highlighted their complicity in Israeli violations of international law and their support for terrorist groups in the region.

“At a time when the Zionist regime, enjoying full backing from the US, UK, Germany, France, and other sponsors of this anti-Iran statement, is committing massacres and genocide in the occupied Palestinian territories, such statements serve only to distract public opinion from the crime of the century,” the statement read.

The Foreign Ministry stressed that sponsors of these “irresponsible statements” must abandon colonial and supremacist mindsets and correct their misguided policies toward Iran and the region, instead of engaging in blame-shifting.

This reaction comes in response to a September 12 statement by G7 RRM members—Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the UK, the US, the EU, and associate members Australia and New Zealand—accusing Iran of “transnational repression and other malign activities.”
