Road Construction in Iran Continues With Full Strength, Minister Says

Minister of Roads and Urban Development, Farzaneh Sadegh, says road construction in Iran is progressing vigorously despite budget constraints and sanctions.

Sadegh made the remarks on the sidelines of the inauguration of several road projects in Mahvelat, Razavi Khorasan Province, on Tuesday.

During the inauguration of 90 kilometers of new roads in the eastern and southern regions of the country, she said that the 14th administration aims to address the concerns of the people. She emphasized the strong commitment of both the government and Parliament to serve the public.

She described the inauguration of these projects as a sign of the national perspective held by Parliament representatives and the government’s resolve to develop infrastructure.

Sadegh added, “Despite severe budget shortages, the construction of this scale of road is considered on par with major national projects.”

Among the inaugurated projects was the second lane of the “Shadmehr-Kashmar Intersection,” spanning 17 kilometers with an investment of 550 billion tomans.
