SAEDNEWS: The new electricity transmission line will allow to double the Armenian electricity exports to Iran, Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures Davit Khudatyan told reporters.
The construction of the Iran-Armenia power transmission line is in the final phase.
He attached importance to the cooperation with Iran in various areas, especially in infrastructures and road construction.
“Regarding Armenian-Iranian cooperation in energy, as you know, the construction of the new Iran-Armenia electricity transmission line is underway, and I will allow myself to say that it is in the phase of completion, and it will allow us to export more electricity to Iran. I hope we will swiftly be able to export extra, big volumes to Iran,” Khudatyan said, emphasizing that the project will double the volumes of exports.
Khudatyan said Armenia is exporting electricity to Iran continuously, year-round.
