SAEDNWES: The Ukrainian parliament on Wednesday approved the state budget for next year, the country's finance ministry reported.
Ukraine’s Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko has unveiled a budget that prioritizes defense, social support, and economic development, Xinhua reported.
Revenues for the coming year are projected at 2.9 trillion hryvnias (around $68.7 billion), mainly from import VAT, personal income tax, and a military levy.
State spending is expected to reach 4.8 trillion hryvnias, with 2.8 trillion allocated to defense. Other key areas include social welfare, education, and healthcare.
To help cover the budget deficit, Ukraine aims to secure roughly $65.9 billion in external financing next year.
