SAEDNEWS: Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has called for the expansion of the bilateral relations between Tehran and Dushanbe.

According to SAEDNEWS, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf emphasized the importance of strengthening ties between Iran and Tajikistan.

In separate messages, Ghalibaf congratulated his counterpart and the President of Tajikistan on the anniversary of the country's independence. He highlighted the significant role of parliamentary interactions in enhancing and deepening bilateral relations. Ghalibaf expressed his hope that the historic and friendly ties between Iran and Tajikistan would grow in all areas by utilizing existing resources and aligning with the national interests of both countries.

On the same evening, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian also congratulated President Emomali Rahmon of Tajikistan on the independence anniversary. Pezeshkian stated that expanding relations with regional countries, particularly with Tajikistan, is a priority for Iran's foreign policy. He assured that the mutual respect between the people of both countries would lead to stronger and more developed relations in the future.
