SAEDNEWS: A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between Iranian and Omani officials to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the fields of flight operations, airport services, and strengthening air transportation infrastructures.
On Monday, Imam Khomeini Airport City (IKAC) CEO Ramin Kashefazar and Oman’s Civil Aviation Authority Chairman Nayef bin Ali al Abri signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at strengthening aviation ties between Iran and the Sultanate of Oman.
The meeting focused on expanding cooperation in flight operations, airport services, passenger transport capacity, and air transport infrastructure.
Kashefazar highlighted IKAC’s potential to become a regional aviation hub and emphasized the airport city’s readiness to share expertise and technical know-how with Oman.
Al Abri described the development of air links between the two nations as a foundation for boosting economic and tourism relations. He also underscored the importance of continued consultations and joint initiatives between Tehran and Muscat.
Both parties agreed to establish specialized working groups to explore operational areas for collaboration and to advance long-term strategic aviation plans between the two countries.
