SAEDNEWS: The prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC), Karim Khan has called for the urgent arrest warrants for Isralei Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his War Minister Yoav Gallant.
According to SAEDNEWS, The prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC), Karim Khan, has requested urgent arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his Defense Minister, Yoav Gallant.
Khan urged the ICC's Pre-Trial Chamber to issue these arrest warrants “with utmost urgency” for both Netanyahu and Gallant, as well as leaders of Hamas, according to Anadolu Agency.
The prosecutor stated that the arrest warrants are “necessary to ensure that they do not obstruct or endanger the investigation or court proceedings, prevent the continuing commission of the crimes alleged and/or the commission of other Rome Statute crimes.” He made this statement on Monday.
Back in May, Khan announced that the ICC was seeking arrest warrants for Netanyahu and Gallant due to allegations of war crimes.
In his latest submission, Khan has withdrawn the request for a warrant for the late Haniyeh. This development emphasizes the ongoing legal proceedings related to the situation in the region and the ICC's active role in addressing these serious allegations.
