SAEDNEWS: A senior IRGC commander said that the Islamic Republic of Iran would not retreat from its national interests in the Arash field.
According to SAEDNEWS, In a recent statement, a senior commander from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) clarified Iran's position on the Arash oil field, emphasizing that it is an essential part of Iran's national interests. Commander Abdolreza Abed addressed reporters, stating that Iran will not back down from its claims over the field, which it shares with Kuwait.
Abed expressed concern that Kuwait had formed a company to start working in the Arash field without Iran’s consent. "They should know that the Arash field is the inalienable right of the Iranian people," he said, stressing the significance of Iran's role in the field.
In conjunction with this, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Nasser Kan'ani called for a peaceful resolution. He suggested that the best way forward is through technical and legal discussions to create a stable agreement that respects the interests of both countries. He noted that protecting the rights and interests related to the Arash field is a priority for Iran.
As tensions rise, both nations seem to agree that dialogue could pave the way for a more cooperative relationship regarding the oil field.
