Ingredients for Turkey Lasagna

  • 1 teaspoon olive oil

  • 450 grams ground turkey breast

  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed

  • 240 grams tomato sauce

  • 850 grams crushed tomatoes

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

  • 360 grams reduced-fat mozzarella cheese

  • 360 grams reduced-fat ricotta cheese

  • 3/4 cup Parmesan cheese

  • 1 package lasagna noodles

Instructions for Making Turkey Lasagna

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) so it’s ready when the ingredients are prepared.

  2. Crush the garlic and sauté it in some olive oil until fragrant.

  3. Add the ground turkey to the pan and cook until it’s browned and no longer raw.

  4. Grate the tomatoes and add them to the pan, continuing to sauté for a few more minutes.

  5. Add the tomato sauce, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine.

  6. Stir in the Italian seasoning and allow the mixture to simmer on low heat until it thickens.

  7. Lightly grease a baking dish and spread a layer of the meat sauce on the bottom.

  8. Place a layer of uncooked lasagna noodles over the sauce, followed by a sprinkle of ricotta and mozzarella cheese.

  9. Continue layering with lasagna noodles, more meat sauce, and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.

  10. Repeat the layers, finishing with the meat sauce and Parmesan cheese on top.

Bake the lasagna in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the cheese has melted and turned golden brown. Once done, remove it from the oven, let it cool slightly, and slice it into servings. The turkey lasagna is ready to be enjoyed. Garnish to your liking and serve.
