Global Media Express Concern Over Trump’s Criminal Act Against Iran

Saednews:The United States’ involvement in the Zionist regime’s aggressive act against Iran has been reflected in international media, sparking widespread concern over the consequences of this military aggression.

Global Media Express Concern Over Trump’s Criminal Act Against Iran

According to Saed News, U.S. President Donald Trump, in collusion with Israel’s war against Iran, claimed on his social media platform “Truth Social” on Sunday: “We carried out a highly successful strike on three Iranian nuclear facilities: Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.”

Numerous officials in the U.S. and other countries condemned the aggression, while many media outlets questioned its legal basis.

Middle East correspondent Alistair Bunkall of Sky News noted that Iran’s response could include targeting U.S. military bases or disrupting global shipping, possibly by striking the Strait of Hormuz.

The New York Times headlined: “The U.S. Enters War Against Iran,” adding that experts warned Trump’s decision marked the beginning of an unpredictable chapter for regional security and politics. Quoting Ray Takeyh, a senior fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations, it called this a “new and potentially troubling phase.”

CNN analyst Stephen Collinson argued that Trump’s strike reflected a unilateral use of presidential power. The network emphasized that previous U.S. presidents had refrained from such actions due to fears of sparking an all-out war with Iran.

The UK’s Guardian, citing international law expert Donald Rothwell, reported that it is “virtually impossible” to justify the U.S. attack under international law. Experts argued that the UN Charter does not permit preemptive strikes like Israel’s June 13 assault on Iran.

Al Jazeera English warned that Iran might retaliate—and if it doesn’t, there’s no guarantee Israel would stop or that the U.S. wouldn’t rejoin the fight.

South Korea’s Yonhap News Agency pointed out the contradiction in Washington’s actions, noting that the Trump administration’s “America First” policy was supposedly against starting new foreign wars.

The U.S.-based Intercept noted that someone who called himself a “man of peace” was dragging America into another war. The Associated Press warned that the U.S. is now entering a conflict between Israel and Iran.

According to IRNA, following the U.S. attacks on Iranian nuclear sites, the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) declared in a statement that the country's nuclear development will not be halted. It condemned the barbaric attacks on Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan as violations of international law, especially the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).

The AEOI criticized the IAEA for its inaction, noting that these sites are under continuous inspection per the Safeguards Agreement and the NPT. The Iranian regime emphasized its legal right to defend itself and called on the international community to condemn such lawlessness.

The AEOI assured the Iranian people that, despite hostile conspiracies, the country’s nuclear path—built with the blood of its nuclear martyrs—will continue, and legal measures are being pursued to defend national rights.
