SAEDNEWS: We all want our perfume to make a statement, enhancing our personality with a pleasant scent. Spraying perfume on specific areas of the body can increase its longevity throughout the day. Undoubtedly, applying perfume to different parts of the body creates noticeable differences.

Are You Familiar with the Best Areas to Apply Perfume?

According to SAEDNEWS, Perfume naturally diffuses in heat. Based on this fact, answering the question “Where exactly should you apply perfume?” is simple: target warm and pulse-point areas of the body. Choose a few of the following points (not all of them) to apply your perfume. These areas are highly effective in increasing both the longevity and diffusion of the scent.

Perfume

Pulse Points:

Spraying perfume on pulse points helps it last longer. These areas assist in diffusing the fragrance into the air. The five warmest pulse points on your body are behind the ears, the neck, the wrists, the inner elbows, and behind the knees. To apply perfume correctly, hold it 7 to 15 cm away from your skin and avoid excessive spraying—typically, two to four sprays are enough.

Behind and Above the Ears:

Applying perfume behind the ears is quite common. However, an often-overlooked area is above the ears, where the skin is not too dry. Oily and moisturized skin holds perfume for a longer time.

Around the Neck:

If you don’t have sensitive skin, the neck is one of the best areas to apply perfume. Additionally, wearing perfume-infused accessories, such as bracelets or necklaces, can help people with sensitive skin enjoy the fragrance without irritation.

Perfume

Inner Elbows and Wrists:

Pulse points are areas where the blood vessels are closer to the skin’s surface, generating heat that helps in spreading the fragrance. The inner elbow is another warm area ideal for applying perfume.

Under the Breasts and Around the Navel:

Applying perfume in these areas is an exciting idea, especially when wearing a crop top or when you want your skin to be lightly scented before dressing.

Behind the Knees:

The delicate area behind your knees is another excellent pulse point for perfume, particularly if you are wearing a dress or skirt.

Calves and Ankles:

Before wearing high heels, enhance your allure by applying perfume to your legs. Since your calves and ankles are constantly in motion, they help spread your fragrance wherever you go.

Through the Hair:

Applying perfume to your hair is a fantastic idea. However, if your perfume contains alcohol, it may cause dryness and damage. Instead, spray perfume onto your brush and run it through your hair to gently diffuse the scent without causing harm.

Lesser-Known Areas for Applying Perfume

To make your fragrance stand out and last longer, consider applying it to unconventional parts of your body.

Hair:

Spraying perfume onto your hair is often overlooked, yet it ensures long-lasting fragrance. However, be cautious of perfumes with high alcohol content, as they can dry out and damage your hair. If you have dry hair, spray perfume onto a brush or comb and then run it through your hair for a similar effect. If you prefer direct application, avoid perfumes with high alcohol and ethyl content, such as many Eau de Parfums (EDPs).

Chest Area:

If your outfit exposes your chest, applying a small drop of your favorite perfume to this area can subtly enhance your fragrance. While it may not last as long as spraying on your wrists, it still provides a delicate and attractive scent.

By following these tips, you can maximize the longevity of your fragrance and enjoy a captivating scent throughout the day!
