SAEDNEWS: James Patterson, Bestselling Author, Claims Marilyn Monroe Was Murdered and Says the Iconic Actress Was “Wading Into Very Dangerous Waters”
According to a report from the political desk of SaedNews, bestselling author James Patterson has stirred controversy on the eve of releasing his new book, The Last Days of Marilyn Monroe, by claiming that the legendary Hollywood star was actually murdered.
Patterson argues that Monroe did not die by suicide, but was instead killed—an explosive theory he lays out in his upcoming book. The author says Monroe had gathered documents containing secrets about President John F. Kennedy, Robert Kennedy, and their alleged ties to organized crime.
The popular writer believes Marilyn Monroe was targeted, saying the actress had begun “wading into extremely dangerous waters.”
Patterson made these remarks in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter ahead of the release of his new title, The Last Days of Marilyn Monroe: A True Crime Thriller.
“She had strange and extraordinary relationships with President Kennedy, Robert Kennedy, Frank Sinatra, and several Mafia figures,” Patterson said. “They told her things, and she wrote them down. She possessed information that was dangerous from a security standpoint.”
According to Patterson, “Most people don’t know the real story about Monroe,” adding that there were many things he himself hadn’t known before researching the book.
He also claimed that the public is largely unaware of key details surrounding Monroe’s death: “Her autopsy report wasn’t complete enough, and one detective believed the scene had been staged. The point is, people know a little about her—but not much. You’ll be surprised.”
Although the book presents itself as a “true crime thriller,” it also includes a disclaimer stating that it remains a work of fiction.
Patterson concludes by saying: “She was a major star, but in the end, she destroyed everything herself.”
Marilyn Monroe remains one of the most famous and controversial figures in cinema history. She died at age 36 in 1962 while working on George Cukor’s Something’s Got to Give, a film left unfinished—though parts of it were later included in the 2001 documentary Marilyn: The Final Days.
The official cause of her death was listed as suicide from an overdose of sleeping pills and sedatives. Yet claims of conspiracy and mysterious events surrounding her final days have fueled debate for decades.
