SAEDNEWS: Anyone who has a dog often wishes they could read their pet’s mind and know exactly what it is thinking. A woman says she has discovered the secret to communicating with her dog and believes that others can also easily teach their dogs to “speak” in return.
According to Saednews, via Rooziato, Alexis Devine has trained her poodle, Bunny, to communicate using a specially designed keyboard with nearly 100 buttons.
The intelligent dog can express a wide range of thoughts and emotions—ranging from asking to play or requesting affection, to describing her dreams and even warning her owner if something seems wrong. Alexis explains that over the past three years, she and Bunny have developed an extraordinary level of communication. Bunny can ask about people or animals not present, and can also clearly indicate whether she wants attention, play, or simply affection.

Alexis, a Seattle-based artist, says she began using the buttons when Bunny was just eight weeks old. Her goal was to build a deeper and more meaningful form of communication with her pet from the very beginning.

She describes Bunny as highly intelligent, sensitive, and affectionate, though sometimes anxious around strangers while being strongly attached to her close family.
According to Alexis, button-based communication differs from one owner-dog relationship to another, but trust is the foundation. She emphasizes the importance of understanding the dog’s emotions, preferences, and personality, and consistently using the same words so the dog can build associations over time.

The pair shares their journey on TikTok, where they have gained over eight million followers worldwide. They use the HexTile FluentPet system, and Alexis credits patience and continuous practice as the key factors behind their success in communicating with Bunny.
