Ingredient | Amount |
|---|---|
Butter | 100 g |
Flour | 1.5 cups |
Sugar | ⅔ cup |
Eggs | 2 |
Vanilla | ½ tbsp |
Baking soda | ½ tbsp |
Baking powder | ¼ tsp |
Salt | ½ tbsp |
Dark chocolate | ½ cup |
Chocolate chips | as needed |
Remove the butter from the refrigerator about 30 minutes before starting and let it reach room temperature until fully softened.
Place softened butter and sugar in a bowl. Beat with an electric mixer on high speed for 3–4 minutes until the mixture becomes light and fluffy.
Add eggs and vanilla to the mixture and beat again until fully combined.
In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.
Sift the dry ingredients three times for a lighter texture. Gradually add them to the wet mixture in three stages, folding gently with a spatula until a smooth dough forms.
Chop the dark chocolate into small pieces and fold it into the dough until evenly distributed. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap.
Refrigerate the dough for 30 minutes to rest.
Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Scoop small portions of dough, roll them into balls, and place them on the tray with enough space between each.
Press chocolate chips lightly on top of each cookie.
Bake for 10–12 minutes until cookies are set.
Remove from the oven and allow cookies to cool completely without touching them. Once cooled, remove from the parchment paper and serve with tea or milk.
Enjoy your chocolate cookies! 🍪
