Saed News: According to a Russian analyst, Trump failed to gain concessions from the Chinese president regarding Iran and Taiwan during their negotiations.
According to SAEDNEWS, citing the Novosti news agency, American affairs analyst Malik Dudakov believes that Donald Trump, the U.S. president, failed to achieve his desired goals during his trip to China and will leave the country empty-handed because Washington’s position in negotiations with Beijing is very weak.
Pointing out that it is actually the United States that is now effectively imposing a confrontational scenario on China, he added: “The reality is that in fair and honest competition, the Americans are losing to China in the commercial and industrial arenas. Therefore, they are turning the tables, engaging in provocative actions, and trying to target China’s partner countries, such as Venezuela and Iran, in order to create problems for China’s powerful economy.”
According to this analyst, the United States’ position in negotiations with China is clearly weak, and under current conditions, Washington is trying to trade American investments — including those in the information technology sector — for concessions from China. Washington is interested in China purchasing American agricultural products and hydrocarbons.
Dudakov recalled that Donald Trump also tried during the Beijing talks to reach some form of agreement regarding Taiwan and Iran, but the Chinese side is unwilling to retreat from its positions on these issues. He believes that after the visit of the high-ranking American delegation to Beijing, agreements may only be reached between executives of the American companies accompanying the White House president and Chinese firms, but no progress is expected on political issues between the two sides.
The analyst concluded: “It is entirely possible that Trump will essentially leave China empty-handed.”
The heads of 16 major American commercial companies accompanied Donald Trump during his three-day trip to the People’s Republic of China.
