SAEDNEWS: The Governor of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad stated that American pilots have not yet been captured or rescued.
According to the political news service of Saed News, Yadollah Rahmani, governor of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, said that no reliable information has yet been released regarding the capture of the American pilot, who was expected to be in the province.
Breaking news reports indicate that the governor described the news of rescuing one of the American pilots as an enemy tactic. He added: “If a pilot had been rescued, it would have been done by the same helicopters—but those helicopters themselves crashed. How could they carry out a rescue and then crash?”
He continued: “On Friday, all the people and tribes in various counties of the province spontaneously entered the area as soon as these helicopters arrived to track the pilot, and they did not allow the helicopters to land, despite the fact that the helicopters remained in the area for several hours.”
