SAEDNEWS: The children of an American woman lived with their mother’s body for three years.
According to Saednews report, a Tennessee sheriff stated that when police officers arrived to evict a woman’s four children due to unpaid rent, they discovered the decomposed body of the woman inside the house.
Dr. Feng Li from the medical examiner’s office confirmed after examining the body that it was in a state of decomposition. The woman was found lying on a bed, and her children had placed numerous clothes over her body to conceal it and prevent it from being easily seen. When one of the officers asked the children about their mother’s whereabouts, they said she was asleep on the bed.
Police stated that none of the children were found to have psychological problems, and that they had voluntarily lived for years with their mother’s body in the home.
The victim’s sister said she had been visiting the home to see her sister, but the children misled her each time. After a long period of concern, she asked the police for help. However, officers reportedly told her that when they had previously visited the home, the woman was not present, so they could not provide further assistance at that time.
