Iran’s Embassy in Finland: Europe Must First Demonstrate Genuine Goodwill

According to SAEDNEWS, the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Finland, responding to remarks by Kaja Kallas, the EU foreign policy chief, regarding Iran negotiations and allegations against Tehran, stated that the European Union previously had an opportunity to demonstrate genuine goodwill by fulfilling its obligations under the JCPOA. Instead, it adopted a hostile approach led by some “war-mongering” officials such as Kaja Kallas.

The statement added that efforts to activate the so-called snapback mechanism and pursue other hostile actions are merely aimed at pleasing the United States.

The Iranian Embassy emphasized that before claiming to have “economic leverage, nuclear expertise, and direct engagement,” the European Union must first prove its neutrality and genuine goodwill, rather than relying on symbolic gestures.
