SAEDNEWS: Doctors Successfully Remove Worm from 8-Year-Old Child in Tragic Saudi Arabia Incident
According to Saed News, in a bizarre incident in Saudi Arabia, emergency doctors at King Faisal Complex in Taif removed a 2-centimeter worm from the cheek of an 8-year-old boy. The Gulf 365 website reported that the child, who had been suffering from severe pain and swelling in his left cheek, was finally taken to the hospital. After initial medical examinations and imaging of the swollen area, doctors discovered a worm beneath the boy’s skin.
Siraj Al-Humaidan, the official spokesperson for the Taif Health Department, said that pediatric surgeons were called in to extract the worm. The area was then cleaned, and the child was given appropriate antibiotics and treatment. He is now in stable condition and has been discharged from the hospital.
