The shocking altercation, captured on fan-shot videos circulating widely on social media, stunned attendees and reignited a months-long feud between the two rising country artists.
During the festival, Bryan was initially welcomed as a surprise guest, joining Gabriella Rose for an afternoon set. But the mood quickly shifted. In a video posted online, Bryan can be seen climbing a backstage fence and lunging toward a figure believed to be Adcock, who was dressed in a vest and cowboy hat. A security guard quickly intervened, holding Bryan back, as Adcock pointed and shouted across the barrier.
In a separate Instagram clip, Bryan could be heard yelling: “If they open up this f—ing gate, I’ll f—ing kill you.” Adcock, seemingly unfazed, retorted: “I got a show to play, you clown son of a b—.”
The confrontation didn’t come out of nowhere. Their bad blood dates back to July, when Adcock criticized Bryan over his dismissive response to a teenage fan who complained online about being ignored after a MetLife Stadium performance. Bryan wrote at the time: “You’re not entitled after someone plays two and a half hours to a picture or a hello.”
Adcock seized on the backlash, accusing Bryan of being inauthentic. On Rolling Stone’s Nashville Now podcast, Adcock declared: “I think Zach Bryan puts on a big mask in his day-to-day life … I don’t know if Zach Bryan’s really that great of a person.”
Adcock has become known for courting controversy. Recently, he clashed with cowboy singer Charley Crockett, mocking him on stage while performing alongside Morgan Wallen. At one concert, Adcock brandished a T-shirt with Crockett’s face, prompting Wallen to flip it off with both middle fingers — a moment that also went viral.
In June, Adcock made headlines by blasting Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter album, dismissing it as “not country music.”
Bryan, for his part, isn’t a stranger to public conflict. He’s exchanged heated words with ex-girlfriend Brianna LaPaglia, as well as fellow Oklahoma songwriter John Moreland. After Moreland criticized Bryan’s massive $350 million publishing deal, Bryan pulled their collaborative song, Memphis; the Blues, from streaming platforms.
The Bryan-Adcock feud underscores the volatility of today’s country music scene, where social media spats and viral moments often overshadow the music itself. While Bryan’s devoted fanbase sees him as authentic and unfiltered, his detractors — including Adcock — accuse him of arrogance.

Neither Bryan nor Adcock has issued an official statement since the festival incident, and their representatives have declined comment.
