Saed News: Up next, join us as we explore two methods (with and without an oven) for making cupcakes and decorating them in a special and unique way.
According to the Saed News Cooking Service, the first video, selected from YouTube channel Fara Tasty, teaches how to quickly make vanilla cupcakes in the oven.
The second video, from the Eco Cook YouTube channel, demonstrates how to prepare sugar-free diet cupcakes without needing an oven.
And the third video shows how to decorate the cupcakes with a rainbow design.
1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour
1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup (120ml) milk (room temp)
1/4 cup (60ml) vegetable oil or melted butter
1 egg (room temp)
1 tsp vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
Mix dry ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Mix wet ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together milk, oil, egg, and vanilla extract.
Combine: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir just until smooth—don’t overmix.
Fill cupcake liners: Spoon the batter into liners, filling each about 2/3 full.
Bake: Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool: Let cupcakes cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before decorating.
1 cup oat flour (or blended rolled oats)
1 ripe banana (mashed, acts as sweetener)
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce or Greek yogurt
1 egg (or flax egg for vegan: 1 tbsp ground flax + 3 tbsp water)
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cinnamon or vanilla extract (for flavor)
Pinch of salt
Optional: chopped nuts, berries, or dark chocolate chips (sugar-free)
Option 1: Stovetop Method (with a steamer or large pot)
Prepare the batter: Mix all ingredients in a bowl until smooth.
Pour into molds: Spoon the batter into silicone cupcake molds or heatproof ramekins.
Steam: Place them in a steamer or a large pot with 1–2 inches of water. Cover with a lid.
Cook: Steam on medium heat for 15–20 minutes. Insert a toothpick—if it comes out clean, they're ready.
Cool & serve: Let cool before removing from molds. You can top with Greek yogurt or a sugar-free nut butter.
How to Decorate the Cupcakes with a Rainbow Design
Prepare different colors: Divide white whipped cream or frosting into several bowls and mix each with a different food coloring (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple).
Use piping bags: Fill each color into a small piping bag (or ziplock with a small cut in the corner).
Create the rainbow: Pipe curved lines of each color across the top of the cupcake in the order of the rainbow.
Add clouds (optional): Use white frosting or mini marshmallows at both ends of the rainbow to mimic clouds.
Chill before serving: Let them set in the fridge for 15 minutes so the colors hold their shape.
