Since cumin is one of the most famous spices and souvenirs from Kerman, the people of this region commonly use this beneficial spice in many of their dishes. Interestingly, cumin rice is also considered one of the local dishes of Mazandaran; however, the difference lies in the use of cinnamon, cumin, pepper, fenugreek, and raisins in its preparation.
Given the warm nature of cumin and the cold nature of rice, cumin rice has a balanced temperament, making it ideal for the autumn and winter seasons. Additionally, it helps alleviate indigestion, bloating, and aids in weight loss. This dish can be prepared with chicken, meat chunks, minced meat, or meatballs.

Let the rice steam until fully cooked.
Fry the potato slices and serve them with the rice.
