Coconut and Walnut Rolls: A Sweet Treat Recipe
150g coconut powder
100g walnuts
1 tsp oil
2 cups cold water
½ cup rosewater
100g starch
Prepare the Base: Dissolve the starch in cold water in a non-stick saucepan. Heat gently, stirring constantly to avoid lumps, until the mixture becomes soft and creamy.
Add Flavors: Mix in sugar, rosewater, and oil, continuing to stir until the mixture thickens into a dough-like consistency.
Incorporate Walnuts: Remove from heat and fold in the walnuts. Let the mixture cool.
Chill: Once cooled, place the mixture in the fridge for one hour until firm.
Shape the Rolls: Lightly oil your hands and knead the dough slightly. Shape into small rolls, about 3 cm in diameter.
Coat and Decorate: Roll each piece in coconut powder and decorate with extra walnuts.
