New Claim By Scientists: It Is Possible to Travel to Parallel Universes in Your Dreams!

According to the Science and Technology Service of Saed News, scientists say that dreams sometimes act as windows into alternate realities and connect a person to another version of themselves in a parallel world.

According to IA, researchers claimed in their study paper that dreams have historically been viewed as mirrors reflecting our conscious waking life, filled with symbolic representations of our desires, fears, and experiences.

In contrast, an intriguing speculation exists that dreams may act as channels to alternate dimensions or advanced states of consciousness, indicating a deeper and broader role of sleep than traditionally thought.

This hypothesis is inspired by the "Many-Worlds Interpretation of Quantum Theory," sometimes also called the multiverse theory.

It suggests that for a quantum event, there are multiple probabilities or outcomes. Each of these outcomes occurs in separate worlds. For example, if you played a football match, your team might have won in this world, but in another world, your team might have lost the game.

The authors say it is possible to travel to these other worlds in dreams. However, this is not a solid scientific basis that they used to support their hypothesis.

Can dreams overcome physical limitations?

According to David Leong, the first author of the paper and honorary professor at Carisma University in the Turks and Caicos Islands, when a person sleeps and dreams, their consciousness may cross the boundaries of space and time.

This is because during sleep, a person's consciousness has minimal contact with the logical brain, reality, and physical senses. It is worth noting that scientists still have much to learn about human consciousness and its limits.

It is possible that consciousness might experience something akin to quantum entanglement — a phenomenon where two particles can affect each other's states regardless of the distance between them.

Parallel Worlds

It might be possible that consciousness can also influence people across parallel worlds. The authors say this leads to a reconceptualization of consciousness as a broader and more interconnected entity with the potential to navigate a multiverse of experiences.

The research paper adds that dreams can be a psychological tool to penetrate this collective unconscious, explore, and experience a shared human narrative that goes beyond the personal aspect.

However, these are all possibilities, and there is no empirical evidence that confirms a person can actually travel to alternate realities through dreams.

Not all dreams take you to the multiverse

Leong says that recurring lucid dreams with strong emotions and memories are those most likely to take people to alternate versions of themselves in parallel worlds.

He also noted that such dreams might reflect unresolved psychological themes, such as anxiety about personal growth.
