When Technology Meets Madness: Zagato 01, the German Beast, Brings Pure Driving Power to Life with a Manual Gearbox! +Video

According to the Technology Desk of Saed News, German motorsport company Capricorn has unveiled a new supercar. Designed by Zagato, the German supercar features an eight-cylinder engine and a manual gearbox, promising an unparalleled driving experience.

A Tribute to Pure Driving
The new supercar, named Capricorn 01 Zagato, is built to celebrate the joy of driving with minimal digital displays and driver assistance systems. Its chassis is made of carbon fiber inspired by LMP1 race cars, while the composite body ensures lightweight performance. The car weighs less than 1,200 kilograms, making it a traditional, lightweight supercar.

Power and Performance
Under the hood, the Zagato 01 packs a 5.2-liter supercharged Ford V8 engine, producing over 900 horsepower and 1,000 Nm of torque. Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox. While final production numbers are still pending, Capricorn claims the supercar will accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under three seconds and reach a top speed of 360 km/h.

Braking is handled by Brembo six-piston calipers and carbon-ceramic discs, along with a custom anti-lock braking system. The car also features electric power-assisted steering that helps at low speeds and stiffens at high speeds for better control.

Interior Inspired by Racing Heritage
The cabin draws inspiration from historic race cars. A large analog tachometer dominates the dashboard, while gullwing doors provide access to the interior. Seats are mounted to the chassis, but pedals are adjustable, similar to the Ford GT, and the gear lever can move 80 millimeters forward or backward along the central console.

The Capricorn 01 Zagato omits a touchscreen, relying on a small retractable display to show the rearview camera feed. Driving modes include Comfort, Sport, and Track, selectable via a button on the steering wheel.

Road-Ready for Europe
Built to European standards, the Capricorn 01 Zagato is street-legal in the UK and several other countries worldwide, allowing enthusiasts to experience its thrilling performance on public roads.
