SAEDNEWS: Iran and Hungary have signed an agreement on educational cooperation on the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, leading a high-level diplomatic delegation to the 80th UN General Assembly, met with Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó on Tuesday to discuss strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation.
During the talks, the two top diplomats reviewed regional and international developments, underlining the importance of dialogue and partnership.
📑 Key Outcome: The ministers signed a memorandum of understanding on scientific and educational cooperation, with a special focus on higher education, science, technology, medicine, and agriculture.
Araghchi, who arrived in New York on Monday, is expected to deliver Iran’s positions at the UN, while also holding separate meetings with world counterparts and international media representatives.
Meanwhile, President Masoud Pezeshkian is also in New York to attend the UNGA, where he will address the global body later this week.
The 80th session of the UN General Assembly officially opened on Tuesday, September 23, and will continue through September 29.
