Controversial Photo of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi’s Brother in Evin Prison

According to the History Service of Saed News, quoting Khabar Online, Hamidreza Pahlavi was the youngest son of Reza Shah who was stripped of his princely status due to controversial behavior and addiction. After the revolution, he remained in Iran. As recounted by Entekhab, his mother, Esmat Dowlatshahi, who was Reza Shah’s beloved wife, stated that her son Hamidreza “had no interest in studying at all, and no matter which school he was sent to, he did not study.”

Hamidreza and his mother did not leave Iran after the revolution and continued their ordinary lives. Hamidreza spent some time in Evin Prison due to drug-related offenses but was later released.

This photo dates back to his time in Evin Prison on February 8, 1987 (19 Bahman 1365 in the Iranian calendar).
