SAEDNEWS: Ayatollah Alireza Arafi emphasized that the Islamic world’s victory depends on the resistance fronts in Yemen, Lebanon, Iraq, and Palestine, warning against Western false promises such as disarming Hezbollah or dividing Palestine, and praised the role of media in resisting Western propaganda.
According to Saed News citing IRNA, Ayatollah Alireza Arafi, the Friday Prayer Imam of Qom, stated that the future victory of the Islamic Ummah depends on the future of the resistance fronts in Yemen, Iraq, Lebanon, and Palestine. He warned against falling for Western deceit and their false promises, including issues such as disarming Hezbollah, partitioning Palestine into two states, and releasing hostages, all of which he described as traps that require vigilance from the Islamic Ummah.
Addressing the Lebanese parliament and government, Ayatollah Arafi said: “If you take the sword away from Hezbollah, the mature party of Lebanon, and fall for Western and Trump’s promises, Lebanon’s fate will be like Syria’s. Therefore, you must rely on Hezbollah’s power.”
He referred to Iran’s honor in the twelve-day war, crediting the wise leadership of the Supreme Leader, the awareness of the people, the knowledge of the armed forces, and the unity of the nation as the key factors for victory.
Ayatollah Arafi commemorated the memory of journalist martyrs, especially martyr Sarami, on Journalist Day, congratulating the media professionals, national media, press, and sincere and trustworthy journalists. He noted: “At a time when the octopus of falsehood and Satanic Western media distorted news, strengthened false narratives, and prepared the world for war, plunder, and exploitation, the Islamic Revolution established a new media that shattered all Western media calculations.”
He praised the bravery of martyr Sarami, Sahar Emami, and other pure, brave, and honest journalists who serve the nation and seek the liberation of the people. “News agencies should not shake the hearts of the people or weaken moral foundations; rather, the correct media must serve the people and strive for human excellence and reducing their suffering.”
The Friday Imam of Qom added: “In the war of narratives, it is the media that shows the path to growth and excellence, reflects proper criticism and protest, and responsible agencies should cooperate with proper media.”
Referring to the month of Mordad as a reminder of the Constitutional Movement and the National Oil Movement, he stated that these two historical pages contain many lessons from which Imam Khomeini (may his soul be sanctified) drew inspiration to build the Islamic Revolution.
He said: “The Constitutional Movement was a path of transformation, born from the awakening of the nation and a cry against the monarchy. Guided by religious scholars and elders, it sought liberation from oppression. However, the movement faced problems because it lacked a comprehensive theory of freedom and independence, suffered foreign interference, and was betrayed by Westernized individuals who misunderstood freedom and Islam, leading the movement astray.”
Ayatollah Arafi added: “What could have been a movement for change instead caused division, conflict, and distancing from religious principles. From the heart of a freedom-seeking movement emerged a despised monarchy, with the ugliest king in Iran’s history— the Pahlavi, who was dependent on the West.”
