SAEDNEWS: In a recent interview, U.S. President Donald Trump claimed his administration destroyed Iran’s nuclear capabilities and prevented regional wars by blocking Tehran’s path to a nuclear weapon — a claim U.S. media have refuted as exaggerated and misleading.
In a recent interview, U.S. President Donald Trump referred to Iran and claimed: “Iran could have obtained a nuclear weapon within two months, or even less — but we completely destroyed its nuclear capabilities.”
He further asserted — based on what were widely seen as delusional claims — that his administration had prevented wars in the Middle East by stopping Iran from acquiring a nuclear bomb.
According to Farhikhtegan Online, Trump claimed:
“We stopped wars in the Middle East because we did not allow Iran to get a nuclear weapon.”
He went on to reiterate his threats against Iran, stating:
“Iran might restart its nuclear program from scratch, but if they do, we will strike them again.”
These assertions come despite reports from American media indicating that Iran’s nuclear capabilities were not eliminated but merely delayed — and that Tehran has the ability to quickly recover its nuclear capacity.
