A large demonstration was held Monday outside the Trump International Hotel in New York’s Columbus Circle, where protesters condemned the Israeli regime’s deliberate starvation policy in the Gaza Strip.

The rally, led by the anti-occupation Jewish-American group IfNotNow, was held under the banner “Trump: Jews Say No More,” calling for an immediate halt to the genocidal war on Gaza and the unrestricted entry of humanitarian aid to the besieged territory.

Protesters held placards with messages such as “Stop ethnic cleansing,” “Never again is now,” “Stop starving Gaza,” and “Not in our name,” as reported by The Guardian.

Morriah Kaplan, interim executive director of IfNotNow, addressed the crowd, stating:

“Let’s not mince words, the Israeli government’s blockade of Gaza is a policy of ethnic cleansing by way of forced mass starvation.”

She urged the United States to “use its considerable leverage to end these horrors.”

The protest was met with force by the New York Police Department, which arrested over 40 demonstrators in an attempt to silence growing outrage against Washington’s complicity in Tel Aviv’s crimes.

Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli military has waged a savage campaign against Gaza, slaughtering nearly 61,000 Palestinians — almost half of them women and children — and reducing the coastal enclave to rubble while pushing it to the edge of famine.

Despite international condemnation and repeated calls for a ceasefire, the Zionist regime continues its aggression with full backing from Western powers.

In November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former war minister Yoav Gallant over war crimes and crimes against humanity committed in Gaza.

The apartheid entity is also facing genocide charges at the International Court of Justice for its ongoing campaign of extermination against the Palestinian population in Gaza.
