IRGC Cleric: Iranian Resistance Has Foiled Decades of Western Pressure

According to IRNA, on Monday night, Abdullah Hajji Sadeghi, during a ceremony commemorating the Arbaeen of the 29 martyrs of power from Khorasan Razavi in the Quds Courtyard of the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS), emphasized the status of the martyrs and the importance of adhering to their path, stating: "With the martyrs and in the presence of Imam Reza, we pledge that as long as we have life and strength, we will not deviate for a moment from the path of the martyrs, and ultimately we will be able to celebrate the destruction of the Zionist regime and the humiliation of America."

He pointed out that martyrdom remembrance gatherings are opportunities for guidance, awakening, and pledging allegiance to the martyrs, saying: "We must live like martyrs so that God may grant us the great blessing of martyrdom."

The representative of the Supreme Leader in the IRGC added: "The martyrs are the true winners of this world, having found real life in connection with God."

Referring to verses from the Holy Quran, he said: "God warns us not to trade our lives for anything other than Him, and we must, like the martyrs, make a covenant and continue their path—which is the path of trading with God."

According to him, martyrdom is reaching the final destination through the sacrifice of life, and the world is an opportunity to build eternity, so one should not sell one's life at the cheapest price.

Hajji Sadeghi continued: "Devotion to the Guardianship and fighting the enemies of God's religion are characteristics of the Shiite school, and therefore, we must stand against arrogance, America, and Israel."

He stated: "Just as chanting 'Labbayk Ya Hussein (AS)' is considered worship, saying 'Death to America and Israel' is also worship, and we must remain uncompromising with the enemies of Islam."

The representative of the Supreme Leader in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps also spoke about the 12-day Sacred Defense, saying: "These martyrs thwarted a war that had been prepared for over three decades."

He emphasized: "The enemies of the Islamic Republic of Iran have tried over the past three decades to bring the Iranian nation to its knees through sanctions and economic pressure. They thought that by now the people had lost their endurance, but thanks to the resistance of the people, their plots were fruitless."

Hajji Sadeghi asserted: "They thought that the young generation of our country had undergone a cultural change and become comfort-seeking, but in this Sacred Defense, they saw how the people define their relationship with this system and stand firm."

He stated: "The Islamic Revolution of Iran is still alive and dynamic, and the enemies are afraid of the people's rage against arrogance, and the martyrs have paved the way for the reappearance of Imam Mahdi (may God hasten his reappearance)."
