Where Does the Case of Hojjatoleslam Seddiqi and Mossadegh’s Children Stand?

According to Saed News, in the politics section on Tuesday, the judiciary has responded to ambiguities surrounding the case of the children of Hojjatoleslam Seddiqi and Hojjatoleslam Mossadegh.

the judiciary’s spokesperson stated: “Since 1392, Seddiqi has served solely as an advisor to the head of the judiciary and holds no executive or judicial position within the judiciary. Therefore, his presence at judiciary meetings or ceremonies in the capacity of an advisor should not give rise to any doubt or ambiguity regarding the handling of this case, as he possesses no administrative or judicial authority to interfere in case proceedings. The case is still at the prosecutor’s office. Some individuals have been summoned and others detained. Investigations of related parties are ongoing, and once preliminary investigations are complete, the necessary notifications will be made.”

Regarding Hojjatoleslam Mossadegh, the former first deputy of the judiciary, the spokesperson added: “Due to the special status and privileges he held, his continued presence outside of formal duty could have given rise to suspicions; for this reason, he resigned from that position, although he continues to serve within the judiciary’s structure.”
