SAEDNEWS: The daughter and son-in-law of Iran’s President visited the family of the late Major General Hossein Salami on his behalf, paying tribute to the slain IRGC commander who was killed during Israel’s June attack.
According to Saed News, Zahra Pezeshkian, acting as the president’s representative, visited the home of the late Major General Hossein Salami to offer condolences and honor his memory. Accompanied by her husband, Pezeshkian met with Salami’s family in Tehran and conveyed the president’s respect and admiration for the martyred commander’s years of military service and sacrifice.
During the meeting, Zahra Pezeshkian commemorated General Salami’s pivotal role as commander-in-chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), praising his leadership and dedication to Iran’s defense. She expressed deep gratitude for his efforts, particularly in the face of escalating regional threats.
Major General Hossein Salami, who led the IRGC since 2019, was killed on June 12 in an Israeli strike that Tehran labeled a direct act of war. His death has been widely mourned across Iran, and government officials continue to visit his family to acknowledge his service.
