SAEDNEWS: A clip purporting to capture the mother of IRGC commander Martyr Amirali Haji‑Zadeh denouncing former president Hassan Rouhani has been discredited by the martyr’s son, who warns it only fuels division at a time when unity is paramount.
According to Saed News, a video circulating on social media from Thursday morning claims to show an elderly woman—allegedly the mother of Martyr Amirali Haji‑Zadeh—delivering a string of invectives against Hassan Rouhani and his political allies at her son’s gravesite. Shared under the incendiary headline “Mother of Martyr Haji‑Zadeh Curses Hassan Rouhani and His Like‑Minded,” the footage swiftly amassed views and comments, stoking outrage among various factions.
However, in a statement to Sabrin News, the son of the late IRGC commander categorically refuted the clip’s authenticity. He affirmed that the woman depicted bears no relation to his family and that their grandmother was never involved in such remarks. “This video is entirely fabricated,” he stressed, “and its dissemination is not only misleading but deeply hurtful to the families of the fallen.”
Observers note that the timing of this spurious footage—amid ongoing debates over national cohesion and resilience—risks exacerbating social fault lines. By misrepresenting a grieving mother’s voice, the perpetrators sought to erode public trust and inflame partisan tensions. The martyr’s son implored media outlets and citizens alike to reject such forgeries and to prioritise the values of unity, respect and honest remembrance of those who sacrificed their lives.
