Iran Detains Terrorist Cell in Southeast

The Public Relations Office of Iran’s Quds Base in the Southeast announced the identification and arrest of a terrorist cell linked to anti-Iran groups in Saravan County.

According to the office, the arrest occurred during the operational exercise “Martyrs of Security 2.”

The cell, responsible for multiple attacks in the Saravan region over the past year, was apprehended following precise intelligence operations.

Initial confessions indicate that the detainees had planned and carried out assassination attempts against local security forces under orders from terrorist and anti-Iran groups.

Saravan is located in southeastern Sistan and Baluchestan Province, roughly 347 kilometers southeast of the provincial capital, Zahedan, near the border with Pakistan.
