SAEDNEWS: In the early hours of Tuesday, a Hamedan security patrol opened fire on a non‑compliant off‑road vehicle—leaving two dead and one wounded—after repeatedly failing to heed stop orders during a drone‑sighting response.
According to Saed News, just after 1 a.m. on Tuesday 10 Tir 1404 (June 30, 2025), Hamedan’s operational security forces were dispatched to Dark‑Dareh following multiple civilian reports of an unmanned aerial vehicle in the area.
Upon arriving, the patrol encountered a three‑occupant off‑road vehicle. Officers issued verbal stop commands, which the driver and passengers ignored. Suspicious of their behavior, the security team approached the vehicle—only for its occupants to attempt a sudden escape.
In accordance with the “use of force” regulations, officers first fired warning shots into the air and reiterated their orders. When the occupants continued to flee, the patrol fired directly at the vehicle. Two passengers were killed at the scene; the third sustained injuries and was rushed to a nearby medical center.
Hamedan’s head of the Military Judiciary has confirmed that the case file has been transferred to judicial authorities. An expedited, on‑site investigation is currently underway to determine the full circumstances of the incident.
