Araqchi’s Letter Handed Over To His Mauritanian Counterpart

According to Saednews, Iran’s Ambassador to Mauritania Javad Abu has delivered Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi’s letter on bilateral relations and regional developments, particularly the recent aggression by the Israeli regime and the U.S. against Iran to Mauritanian Foreign Minister Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug.

The two sides reviewed regional developments, especially the recent attacks by the Israeli regime and the U.S. against Iran, while also emphasizing the latest status of bilateral relations and joint plans to expand cooperation between the two countries.

Ould Merzoug condemned the aggression against Iran and expressed condolences over the assassination of the military commanders, nuclear scientists, and civilians in these attacks.

Israel began an unprovoked war of aggression against Iran on June 13, killing over 600 people, including top military commanders, scientists, and civilians. The Iranian Armed Forces responded powerfully, inflicting widespread damage to areas across the occupied territories.

On June 22, the United States joined Israel, and in coordination with the regime, attacked three Iranian nuclear sites in violation of international law, prompting global condemnations. The U.S.-Israeli aggression lasted 12 days and came to an end following a ceasefire.
