SAEDNEWS: A senior Pakistani legislator warns that any strike on Iran’s Supreme Leader would provoke a concerted Muslim response—pledging that “no American will remain in Pakistan” if threats become reality.
According to Saed News, Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari, a member of Pakistan’s Senate, has forcefully rebuked recent “easy target” boasts by U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei. In statements carried by Press TV, Jafari underscored that Khamenei is not only Iran’s political head but also a Marja’—a revered religious authority whose sanctity is protected by Islamic decree.
Citing a fatwa that deems any threat against the Leader as hostility toward God—punishable by death—Jafari warned that an attack would unite Muslim nations in defense of their spiritual figurehead. “If such an action is taken,” he declared, “we will respond in Pakistan as well; no American will remain on our soil.”
His remarks come in the wake of a 12‑day campaign of “blatant and unprovoked aggression” by Israel from June 13 to 24, which targeted Iranian military commanders, nuclear scientists and civilians. He further condemned the June 22 U.S. airstrikes on Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan as violations of the UN Charter, international law and the NPT.
Following this, two of Iran’s highest clerics—Grand Ayatollahs Nasser Makarem Shirazi and Hossein Nouri‑Hamedani—issued parallel decrees affirming that any assault on the Supreme Leader or other religious authorities constitutes a legitimate cause for defensive action under Islamic law.
Jafari’s pronouncement signals a rare moment of Pakistani solidarity with Tehran—and underscores the broader geopolitical risks of publicly naming Khamenei as a “target.” In his view, any aggression would transcend bilateral hostilities and ignite a collective Muslim reprisal across borders.
