SAEDNEWS: Beijing has sharply criticized a recent U.S. military strike on Iranian nuclear facilities, warning it has not only harmed regional stability but also deeply damaged Washington’s international reputation.
According to Saed News, China has issued a stern rebuke following a U.S. military attack on Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, warning that the escalation threatens to spiral out of control and could permanently tarnish America’s global standing.
Speaking through China’s state broadcaster CCTV, Fu Cong, Beijing’s ambassador to the United Nations, stated, “Iran has suffered physical damage, but the United States has sustained a blow to its credibility—both as a nation and as a legitimate actor in any future international negotiations.”
The comments come amid heightened tensions in the Middle East, where fears of a broader conflict are intensifying. China, which has positioned itself as a cautious mediator in the region, urged all parties to exercise restraint and to abandon the logic of force.
Fu added, “All sides must curb the impulse to escalate and avoid fanning the flames of a dangerous conflict. The situation is teetering on the edge and could easily spiral beyond anyone’s control.”
China’s diplomatic reproach marks a significant moment in the international response to the U.S. operation, highlighting growing concern in major global capitals over Washington’s unilateral actions and their implications for already fragile geopolitical balances.
The remarks highlights Beijing’s broader strategy to present itself as a champion of multilateralism and conflict de-escalation, particularly in contrast to U.S. military interventions that, in the view of Chinese officials, undermine international law and global trust.
