**Saed News:** Tataloo’s lawyer, speaking about his client’s recent marriage, said: “My client’s temporary marriage was not driven by excitement or a media reaction, but was undertaken with sincere intentions for repentance, personal growth, and establishing a lawful family.
According to the political affairs desk of the analytical news outlet Saed News, Atefeh Hazegh, the lawyer representing Amirhossein Maqsoudloo, known as Tataloo, spoke about the rumors surrounding her client’s case and said: “My client’s case has been sent to the special branch of the Supreme Court for re-examination with the approval of the honorable head of the Judiciary. Consequently, the enforcement of the final verdict has currently been suspended. This is an important step toward a fair trial and the possibility of reviewing the case proceedings.”
According to ILNA, she added, “The request to invoke Article 477 was based on a clear violation of Sharia law and the fundamental rights of the defendant. We hope that at this stage, all documents and aspects of the case will be reviewed with precision and impartiality, so that the legal rights of my client may be upheld.”
Tataloo’s lawyer also commented on his recent marriage, saying: “My client’s temporary marriage was not driven by impulse or media attention but was undertaken with sincere intentions of repentance, character rehabilitation, and forming a lawful family. The woman he married has been a long-standing and loyal supporter who has stood by him through the most difficult times. This marriage was officially registered in full accordance with legal and religious principles, and so far, there has been no private or religious meeting between them.”
Hazegh added: “The reason for choosing a temporary marriage is that, in the event of his release, the permanent marriage ceremony could be conducted by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic, Ayatollah Khamenei, which has long been my client’s heartfelt wish and one he considers a great honor in his life.”
In conclusion, Maqsoudloo’s lawyer emphasized: “We hope the media will focus on the legal developments of this case rather than the surrounding distractions. Acceptance of Article 477 reflects the judiciary’s trust in the possibility of revisiting severe rulings and laying the groundwork for true justice.”
