Saed News: Steve Witkoff, Donald Trump’s special envoy for Middle East affairs, outlined the Trump administration’s views and policies regarding negotiations with Iran during a roughly 40-minute interview with the Breitbart News website on Thursday afternoon at the White House.
According to the political service of Saed News, Jamaran wrote: In part of the interview, Witkoff said: “We invite Iran to become a member of the community of nations. They are intelligent, hardworking people with a rich and capable historical background. I have many Iranian friends who are writers, doctors, lawyers—truly exceptional individuals.
We are telling Iran: you can be a better country. We can engage in trade and strategic relations with you, but you cannot remain a source of provocation.
The negotiations are currently limited to the nuclear issue, but we believe Iran must stop supporting hostile groups. That is a secondary discussion, but the nuclear issue is existential for us and must be resolved quickly.”
