Saed News: The Head of Iran’s Chamber of Commerce emphasized that the Expediency Council should take the final step toward joining the FATF.
According to Saed News, quoting Eghtesad Online, Sammad Hassanzadeh, Head of Iran’s Chamber of Commerce, stated: “The Chamber of Commerce emphasizes Iran’s accession to the international conventions related to the FATF. Alongside the negotiations, measures must be taken to reduce transaction risks and enhance the transparency of the country’s banking and financial system.”
He added: “In this regard, we expect the Expediency Council to take the final steps toward joining the Palermo and CFT conventions, based on expert analysis and with consideration for the views of the country’s economic stakeholders.”
