Saed News: The Foreign Minister, announcing that Trump's letter has not yet reached us, said that an envoy from one of the Arab countries is supposed to deliver it in Tehran.
According to Saed News, quoting ISNA, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, speaking to reporters on the sidelines of today's cabinet meeting, said: "A closed-door session of the UN Security Council has been requested, which is a completely new procedure and is surprising. It raises doubts about the good intentions of the countries requesting this session. We hope the Security Council fulfills its duty to maintain international peace properly."
Regarding negotiations, he stated: "We have always been ready to negotiate on the nuclear issue from an equal position. We have negotiated over the JCPOA, and the negotiations are ongoing. The U.S. has long withdrawn from the JCPOA, and we are negotiating with the three European countries. A new round of talks will take place soon, and we are also negotiating with China and Russia. A trilateral meeting between China, Iran, and Russia on this matter will be held in the coming days."
Regarding Trump's letter to Iran, he said: "Trump's letter has been written but has not yet reached us. An envoy from one of the Arab countries is supposed to deliver it in Tehran."
