Tel Aviv Alerts US Central Command on Iran’s Missile Activity

According to Mehr News Agency, citing Axios, the chief of staff of the Israeli army has warned the U.S. Central Command that Iran’s recent missile drill could be a cover for a potential surprise attack.

In direct communications with CENTCOM, the Israeli military chief emphasized the importance of close coordination with U.S. forces to prepare for scenarios related to Iran’s missile activity.

The report notes that the CENTCOM commander traveled to Tel Aviv on Sunday, meeting with Israel’s army chief and senior military officials to discuss recent security developments and the broader regional situation.

At the same time, U.S. sources said American intelligence agencies currently see no signs of an imminent Iranian attack, though missile movements are under close surveillance.

The report also mentions that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to raise concerns about Iran’s missile capabilities and the potential for military action against Tehran during an upcoming meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump.

Following recent unprecedented direct confrontations between Iran and Israel, security alert levels in Tel Aviv and Washington have been heightened, with intensified military consultations ongoing.

While Israeli officials aim to emphasize Iran’s defensive and deterrent missile activities to secure stronger U.S. support for increased pressure, Washington has so far taken a cautious stance, showing reluctance to engage in a large-scale direct conflict with Iran.
