SAEDNEWS: The General Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces issued a statement condemning Australia’s recent action against the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC), describing it as a misguided decision aligned with US and Israeli objectives.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran has strongly condemned the Australian government’s recent action against the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC). In a statement issued on Sunday, the military body called Canberra’s move an illegitimate, politically driven measure influenced by foreign pressure.
According to the statement, Australia’s “reckless” decision aligns with the goals of the global hegemonic system led by the United States and fuels ongoing oppression and crimes attributed to the Zionist regime. The Armed Forces said the step was based on baseless and politically motivated allegations imposed by Washington and the Zionist regime.
The statement also argued that Australia’s action reflects a fundamental misunderstanding of international realities. It added that such measures will only strengthen the determination of the Iranian people to further develop the country’s defensive capabilities.
The Armed Forces stressed that Australia’s move will achieve nothing but greater domestic and international support for Iran’s military institutions—especially the IRGC, which it described as a powerful, anti-terrorism force committed to protecting the nation.
